In our Creative Makers after-school programs — Monday and Wednesday — there will be a creative demo each day by our artist facilitators that will give your young artist the opportunity to learn and try something new. Demos may include: imaginative & whimsical creature creation, wearable art, abstract sculptures, 2-D design, paper-mache, fashion design, print making, sewing techniques, clothing design, wood working projects, mosaics & tiling, glitterizing, painting techniques, jewelry making, creative wall art, 3D design, lights and shadows, projects using paint, adhesives, tools, various surfaces, wire, glass, wood, clay, plastics, rubber, metal and SO MUCH MORE!
Our Thursday Youth Entrepreneur Intensive will help young artists of all levels build or grow their businesses. Mentor Artists in the industry will introduce branding, marketing, production and more! The session ends with a Makers Market where 25% of earnings supports Community Fridges and 75% goes back to the artist.
Our young art makers are encouraged to lead the way as our professional artist facilitators demonstrate new techniques using a wide variety of recycled items and art materials. Throughout the course our facilitators will be encouraging awareness of material usage, emphasizing reuse, and teaching new art making techniques. Your child will learn new techniques and have the opportunity to create ANYTHING they can imagine!

During this intensive, participants will discover the joy of creating while acquiring essential business skills. Whether you love making slime, trading bracelets, making wearables, creating sculptures, or simply love to draw for fun, this program is designed for ANY youth artist ages 10-17. All are welcome. If your young artist has taken this program before or already sell art, they will learn key marketing and merchandising skills to grow their business. They will also have access to a full studio and skilled staff to create their products.
From crafting business cards and learning to create their own brand to designing impactful signage and mastering the art of production, merchandising, pricing, and selling—this program covers it all. Join a community of young artists, and sell your creations at our Makers Market. What’s even more exciting is that 75% of your sales will go directly to you and 25% of the proceeds will support an initiative benefiting families in Evanston. Don’t miss this chance to connect with fellow artists, enhance your skills, and make a positive impact through your creativity!
